Acadia Realty Trust engaged TPG to execute strategic pre-design evaluations for their organization. TPG’s Strategy & Innovation Studio spearheaded a comprehensive strategic analysis including visioning sessions, workshops, staff surveys, programming interviews, and test fits. Acadia valued their employee’s input and wanted to engage and empower them in the process. Our research deduced that Acadia’s staff was uncommonly enthusiastic at work, with a staggering 100% employee engagement; however, their existing office did not match their entrepreneurial spirit.

A rigorous pre-design analysis revealed that their existing space was about 50% larger than it needed to be, due to planning inefficiencies. We helped to define a solution whereby Acadia could improve conditions for their staff, allow for flexibility during a time of growth, and avail themselves of a more cost-efficient lease. Our Strategy & Innovation Studio helped to create a new, transformative workplace for Acadia’s employees that supports their work, embodies their brand, and encourages collaboration and cross-pollination across departments, while maintaining an efficient design that allows for growth and flexibility. Our team translated this information to complete a full design and build-out of their new office space in Rye, NY. Our efforts allowed the client to not only save on real estate costs but also have enabled them to recruit new talent and improve productivity in the workplace.
