CMG’s New York City Headquarters is comprised of over 230,000 square feet of office space at 909 Third Avenue. The office houses many of the client’s brands, including: Weber Shandwick, Jack Morton, DeVries, Golin, and Futurebrand, among others.
The design concept was to create an “activity-based” work environment with a variety of alternative working spaces, open areas, teaming rooms, and booths, with minimal private offices. A three-story interconnecting staircase is a central feature of the design which physically ties the brands together. Benched work stations provide space for individual work and are situated close to windows, providing daylight and views for the entire staff. Weber Shandwick’s space, which houses that brand’s leadership team, is comprised of 85,000 square feet on two consecutive floors which are connected by the communicating stair.
CMG has a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and their office design achieved LEED Gold certification from the US Green Building Council.
