Private Equity Firm

Back to Portfolio

Located in the historic Seagram Building, the design is respectful of its context and defined by its subtle sophistication.

Location New York, NY
Size 35,000 SF
Year 2014

This highly respected private equity firm engaged TPG to help them create a new workplace featuring a warm and refined design which promoted communication and transparency.

Located at 375 Park Avenue, the firm consolidated from 3 separate floors (18th floor, partial 19th and 22nd floors) in 2 full floors (18th and 19th) with a completely new plan and design aesthetic. Since the project is located in the Seagram Building, which falls under Landmark protection, strict consideration was given to preserving the luminous ceiling and creating a space that respectfully complements the building’s existing architecture.

The new space supports the client’s organizational goals to be more communicative and transparent. An interconnecting staircase unifies both floors, providing space for spontaneous interaction amongst colleagues. Glass fronts for offices and conference rooms promote connectivity and allow natural light to penetrate the space. The plan also includes a gym, conference suite, and a café intended to enhance communication and provide a place for casual conversation.
