Year 2012

Irving Place Capital is a private equity firm located in New York City. After breaking with their previous parent company, they needed a new workplace that would help them establish a fresh identity as a stand-alone firm highlighting their core values of openness and teamwork.

Irving Place Capital needed a strong partner during the process of creating their new home, and TPG provided extensive pre-lease services including real estate selection assistance, visioning, and strategy. As the design was underway, we worked closely with the company’s CEO, who had a strong vision for how the space should look and feel.

The new workplace supports the firm’s values of openness and collaboration with the serenity of an art gallery. Glass fronted offices encourage transparency and afford access to daylight and views to the entire staff. Conference and teaming areas are located throughout the space to encourage collaborative work. The design takes advantage of building setbacks to provide landscaped terrace spaces with sweeping views of Columbus Circle and Central Park. With TPG’s help, Irving Place Capital found a perfectly suited new space and developed a strategy to truly make it their own.
